Clinical Philosophy
I believe effective therapy integrates science and humanity. Evidence-based treatment matters, and so does the quality of the relationship between therapist and client. My approach combines structured clinical knowledge with deep respect for personal narrative, cultural context, and individual meaning.
My work is informed by:
Trauma-informed and strengths-based frameworks
Attachment-focused and relational models
Harm reduction and client-centered care
Systems awareness and social context
Mind–body integration and regulation strategies
This lens allows us to look beyond symptoms and toward the larger patterns that influence emotional health, behavior, and relationships.
Professional Background
My career spans direct clinical practice, program leadership, supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I have worked extensively in community mental health and supportive housing settings, supporting people with complex trauma histories, chronic stress, and serious mental illness. These experiences continue to shape my commitment to care that is ethical, culturally responsive, and grounded in dignity.
I have led multidisciplinary teams, supervised clinicians and social work trainees, and developed trauma-informed service models within nonprofit and residential programs. My background includes integrating mental health care with housing stability, social services, and community-based resources — work that requires both clinical precision and systems-level thinking.
In addition to psychotherapy, my professional experience includes teaching social welfare policy at the university level and providing mentorship to developing clinicians. I remain deeply invested in advocacy, ethical practice, and advancing standards of care in mental health.
